5 WAYS TO DISPLAY PHOTOS IN YOUR HOME | Raleigh Studio Photography

As a studio photographer based in Raleigh, I can’t help but preach the importance of printing your galleries.  But how do you display your photos once you have them? In the last ten years, we’ve seen home trends from farmhouse modern to minimalism and everything in between.  Buffalo plaid came and went along with coral accents and chevron. Interior design aesthetics change drastically even from one year to the next, but one decor item never goes out of style: beautifully displayed photos.

You schedule studio sessions with your family or little ones with the intention of enjoying the photos. Why not do exactly that?  Here are 5 creative ways to display your photos in your home:

  1. Gallery Walls
Gallery walls are a timeless addition to any home.  What better way to celebrate your family than by adorning the walls of your home with their smiling faces during milestone moments?

  2. Large Canvases
Want to add a focal point to your room that won’t be outdated at the same time next year?  Opt for large canvas prints!  Whether you choose one large canvas or 3 wooden framed canvases, these add a personal touch to your living spaces.

  3. Albums as coffee table books
The albums I offer my clients are high-quality, durable, and beautifully made.  They’re perfect for displaying on your coffee table for guests and family members to flip through and enjoy.  What’s better is they can make great additions to bookshelves as you update them through the years, giving your photos a permanent home to preserve your memories for years to come. (I’m a big fan of albums, and you can read more about why in this post.)

  4. Fine art prints
Last fall, I had fine art prints made of my own children and could not be more satisfied with how they turned out!  These are framed photos matted with high-quality, 100% cotton fine art paper.  This option is impactful and high-end feeling without being over the top.

  5. Photo Ledges
If you are someone who likes to regularly refresh their space, a photo ledge might be perfect for you!  These are shelves designed specifically with displaying photos and artwork in mind.  You can easily add new photos or rotate them seasonally without having to completely redo a layout for your walls.  Wouldn’t that be a beautiful touch for the holidays?

No matter how you choose to display your photos, please be sure to print those galleries!  Hard drives crash, social media can go down, phones can be broken, but printed photos are a tangible way to enjoy the galleries in which you’ve invested.  Ready to update your family photos or capture your growing little one before their next birthday?  You can schedule a studio session by clicking right here.
