What To Expect

At least two weeks before your session, you’ll receive a questionnaire to complete. This will help me not only get to know you better but create a customized session for you!

At the session, you can expect to relax and have fun while I coach you through fun poses that feel natural.

About a week after your session, you’ll receive a gallery of the images from your session to view! From there, you are able to select and order the images and share the gallery with your friends and family.

Once the order is placed, you will receive your beautiful prints to your door in two weeks.

How long will my session last?
My portrait sessions usually last about 1 hour.

How many outfit changes do we get? Do we get multiple locations?
Each session allows for two outfits if you want. You certainly don’t have to do two! To keep things simplified, I generally like to stick to one location with a lot of variety or two locations that are close in distance.

Do we get a copyright to all our photos?
You’ll receive a print release with any digital purchase so that you are able to print to your heart’s content! The only things you aren’t able to do is edit, sell, or enter them into contests.

Do you have a referral program?
I love referrals and it’s the biggest honor when you share my name with your friends and family. If you a client shares your name when they book their session, you’ll receive a $30 credit towards your next session or product purchase.

What to Wear

Here are few tips for putting together your outfits:

Decide on a palette of 3-4 colors to base your outfit on (including both pants and dresses). You want a cohesive feel, but without being too matchy. You want your outfits to compliment each other. If you need ideas, my Pinterest board or this post on 7 Tips on What to Wear to a Photo Session might give you some inspiration.

For family sessions, I always suggest mom to choose an outfit she feels confident and beautiful in and then have everyones outfit coordinate from there. Plan on natural makeup that is slightly heavier than normal.

Don’t be afraid to layer your clothing. It adds texture and dimension to your outfits. This can either be a belt or necklace or if its cooler out a scarf or sweater cardigan.
Arrange your outfits ahead of time. Lay them out on a big bed, including accessories. Make sure all clothes are clean, pressed, and ready to go on hangers a few days before your session.

Avoid: bold or tiny patterns, neon colors, tube socks, overly formal clothes.

Ladies - Pamper yourself by getting your hair styled and makeup done before the session. Makeup should be natural. Men - plan to get a haircut the week before the session.
